Training needs and objectives vary but in all cases the results can only be based on the development of a strong and lasting relationship of mutual trust and respect between dog and owner.

Services

Training methods and techniques employed are all based on Positive Reinforcement Training and all dogs are trained to a specific and customised training programme according to the needs.

At New Forest Dog Training, owners are trained to observe the dog and interpret the dog’s output as a science

based training method. This is important as it is rarely the fault of the dog when things go wrong.

Puppies & Young Dogs

Early introduction training for puppies and young dogs is important as it sets the framework for the dog / owner relationship and the tone for future more structured training and development.

Behavioural Problems

To effectively address behavioural issues it is important to firstly identify the cause(s), then through corrective training re establish the essential elements of affection trust and respect between dog and owner.

Rescue Dogs

It is rarely possible to establish the full background of a rescue dog, so we start by assuming the dog has no experience of previous training and start from square one on basic elements of discipline and from there progress and develop the relationship.

Working Dogs

By training working dogs a balance is achieved in developing their natural instinct and ability with the necessary level of control and discipline. This balance varies from dog to dog, but must be established to assure good field work.
